After her condition remained unchanged, we decided to take her to a DIFFERENT VET. We were immediately seen, and our kitten was examined with us in the room. The doctor said that she was EXTREMELY CONCERNED that the other vet did not notice her condition. She had no pain receptors in her back legs, and her muscle reaction was delayed.

If Cherokee Emergency Clinic had actually examined our kitten for the PROBLEM WE WENT THERE FOR, I can only believe that we would have had a different outcome. We made the decision to put our kitten down, AFTER PAYING $500 for and UNNEEDED SURGERY. They were only focused on making money and performing unnecessary surgeries.

While they were thorough with my dog's diagnosis, I felt as if the Dr "talked down to us" when we'd ask questions and was rude. I feel like if you're at an emergency vet clinic/ hospital in the early morning hours then things aren't going so great and chances are you're pretty upset. Dr's shouldn't forget that. On that note, I understand that hours are long and patience is a virtue and he may have had a rough night. I'm sure it's not easy doing his job but it's not easy receiving bad news either.

Fast forward to 3AM that next morning, and our kitten was still not walking. We called them again to touch base on her condition. The receptionist said that “she was still under anesthesia, and that she should be able to walk in another 6-8 HOURS”. Keep in mind that she wasn’t walking to begin with.

The front staff was very helpful, though.

These guys are awesome when it comes to helping with sick and injured animals. Last Sunday 11/12/17 I found a kitten in the road that had been hit by a car. He was in really bad shape and cars were driving over him. He tried to get up and run but he couldn't. I couldn't leave him there to suffer like that, but I personally could not do anything for him except bring him to these guys. They have sworn to help any such animal that they can. And if they can't, then at least the suffering will end humanely. Don't forget to make a donation! Thanks so much for providing this service.

We had an emergency visit around midnight with our 4 year old dog who was having an acute allergic reaction from yellow jacket stings to the face. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and our dog was taken back within 2 minutes of arriving. They were thorough, professional, and fast in assessing him and treating him. The front staff was helpful and clear about pricing of the treatment options. Once our dog was out of the woods, the vet spent 15 minutes with us (sitting on the floor with our dog) going over what had happened, the treatment, and home care. He was very caring and professional, and this is definitely his calling. I would not hesitate to bring my fur-babies here again. No sticker shock at check out either :) And puppers is doing fine!

A few months ago my kitten was attacked by a stray cat. Over the course of a few days her symptoms became worse, and eventually her back legs became paralyzed. We took her to Cherokee Emergency Clinic because this happened at 6pm on a Sunday. As soon as we walked in we stressed that the reason that we were there was because our cat was PARALYZED! After over an hour wait, the doctor saw us and explained that her wounds needed to be drained and stitched up. I asked about her back legs, as that was our main concern, and the doctor was adamant that there was no muscle deterioration, and she should be fine. Let’s note that during this initial meeting, our kitten was not in the room. We did not see her from the time we got there, to when we picked her up after surgery.

My dog was bit by another dog the night before Thanksgiving. The whole staff was very friendly and worked fast to get our baby in stable condition. The doctor was thorough when explaining the procedure, costs, and healing process. Hopefully we don’t need them again, but if another emergency happened I would definitely bring my pets back here. Thank you so much for the wonderful care!
