As our conversation continued, the employee became very rude with me and told me that I had asked the same questions five different times. He also told me directly that I didn't know what I was talking about and that I "needed to do my research" before coming in. I asked to speak with a manager and was surprised to find out that he actually was the store manager. His overall tone made me feel like I was spoken down to and that my concerns were not met with sincerity.
I began to ask the front desk employee questions to try to understand the work that needed to be performed. He told me the front brakes weren't ceramic pads (as stated in my receipt) but were metallic pads and that the part numbers on the receipts were not their parts. (He said they looked like Autozone parts). I was told that I shouldn't expect same service/parts at each Meineke location because each location is under different ownership (something that I didn't know before).
When the manager isn't around they are horrible with customer service. When the manager is around its great service.
They are very honest and completely reasonable! Whatever your car needs they explain in details so you know what you are paying for! Don is great and I would recommend this location to anyone! However do not go to the Meineke on Canton Road in Marietta! They are shysters!
After my brakes had been inspected, I asked the employee at the front desk if he could let me know the current condition of my brakes. At this point the owner had left the room. He told me that the brakes were completely worn and that I had to replace the front rotors and have my brake fluid flushed. This came to be a total of $299.66 including tax. This surprised me. In June of 2013, I had my brakes (pads and rear rotors) replaced at Meineke center #505. I was upsold on what I thought were premium (ceramic pads) under lifetime warranty. Today, I wanted a better understanding as to why I needed so much work done to my car, when I had just recently had the brakes repaired.
I would hope that a business of Meineke’s reputation and brand would treat all their customers with respect. I do not plan on returning to this location or any Meineke after this experience.
I was disappointed in my recent visit to Meineke. Upon entering, I was greeted by the store owner who was very friendly, and I told him that I would like my brakes looked at.
Eventually, the store owner returned and the manager was suddenly much nicer to me. The owner answered the questions I had in a polite manner. But I was already so offended from being spoken to in such a condescending way earlier that I left without having the service performed.
I had to get a new catalytic converter and O2 sensors for my 2001 Honda Civic. They did the job quickly, and for $350 less than what was quoted from another local mechanic (not to mention way less than half of what the dealership quoted). Sam, the owner, and Mike at the front desk were friendly and helpful on the phone, when I brought the car in and when I picked it up. They both gave helpful suggestions - to make sure I don't have bad plugs b/c this can cause a new cat to foul (got those back in Feb.) and even where to get the cheapest emissions. Great work guys, thanks!
Great for oil changes, but I've found that they often write up that you need more work than necessary. Again, GREAT OIL CHANGE, but for me, the service to my car stops there and I take it around the corner to (sorry) C&T Auto on Main Street.
