Great family-owned local hardware store. I always find what I'm looking for and more when I go into the store. It's surprisingly they have sales on the Big Green Egg and Yeti Coolers when other stores don't. Shop local!
The people at this store are what make all the difference. Bought a chainsaw here, and that one experience has had me coming back for over two years now. I'm spoiled with Morgan Ace Hardware, and now try to avoid Home Depot and Lowes if I can help it. They don't have everything like a big box store does, but for the things they do have, this place is my go-to hardware store.
In a world where everybody is trying to take a advantage of people, its refreshing to have place like Morgan Ace Hardware that's very honest. My Toro mower messed up and we randomly chose Morgan Ace as the place to have it fixed. We dropped it off and it was fixed a week later.. The day after we got it back, it broke again ( different problems).. In stead of being like most places, they sent their own truck to pick it up and didnt charge us a dime. I really appreciate the outstanding customer service and most of all HONESTY....
Did what I could for my Craftsman lawnmower, but it wouldn’t start, then the pull cord broke. Ace fixed it. Starts right up and I think it runs even better than when it was new 8 yrs or so ago. Fills the bag with grass where it never had before. Very pleased!
Just moved from New Jersey to Woodstock and lost power during hurricane Irma and needed a generator. I knew it would be a long shot, but I called several stores, including Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, and Sears, but not surprisingly they were all sold out. I remembered Morgans Ace Hardware, and decided to give them a call. They said that they had three left. I was so excited that I offered to buy it over the phone, so I would not lose it. They said they would hold it for me until I got there. Being true to their word, when I got there, I saw the generator that they described over the phone, with my name on it. I purchased it right away, without regards to price, because I was desperate. The generator, was gassed up and ready to go. Two of the stores employees loaded to generator in my car. When I got home the generator worked great. As I stated above, I was desperate, and I expected to pay an inflated cost. But of course I checked the price of my Honda generator online and not only did I find out that it was a top of the line generator, the price was spot on. In an age where many retailers take advantage of customers during a time of crisis, Morgans Ace Hardware, did not. They don't know it, but I am a very loyal customer, and by their actions that day, they made a customer for life. I live in Woodstock and I will be doing all of my hardware related purchases from Morgans Ace Hardware.
