My family loves their bbq! Fried pickles are sooo good! And you've gotta try the brisket!
The staff was friendly and patient while I mulled the menu over... the 1/2 order of fried pickles was much larger than expected and extremely tasty. The meal portions were huge too and the flavor was on pointe!!! The pricing seemed high but fair as we looked at menu but when the food arrived... it seemed like it should have cost more...

I discovered JD's several years ago while searching for a better alternative to the dry, greasy BBQ and school cafeteria sides offered at that "award-winning" place on Hwy 92. My husband and I have been loyal customers ever since, even converting his family from being long-time customers at that other pace. We have always had a great experience at the restaurant and no matter what we order, the food is always on point.
I can’t recommend this place enough!
Really good but no mac and cheese. Unfortunately have to dock a star because that's the best BBQ side. Any BBQ meal without mac and cheese is incomplete. Service is prompt and friendly. Prices are fair parking is adequate.
