Gerald Lee and the entire staff at Woodstock Funeral Home are the most compassionate people. They go above and beyond to comfort family members. I attended a Holiday Memorial Service for those of us who lost loved ones in 2013. This was an outreach like no other and everyone who attended walked away with thankfulness in their hearts and were given a keepsale glass ornament that had their loved ones name inscribed on the label. It was really beautiful and touching. Thank you for making our lives a little bit easier, especially during these difficult holidays. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas as you celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior -- Jesus Christ.

I went with my friend to a meeting with the funeral director after the death of her husband. We were treated so badly, that we left and went to another funeral home. Do NOT use this funeral home. They are corporately owned and they have no compassion for families. Woodstock Funeral Home has an ad in Woodstock Family Life September 2016 magazine for a cremation for $995. Interesting that the director first tried to charge us over $12,000 for a cremation and service, and then dropped the price to $7000 after we said the price was more than we could spend. The funeral director said "the price of cremations has risen since more people are wanting to be cremated these days." She said it was just what happens with "supply and demand." She left the room at one point for about 20 minutes without telling us where she was going. After she came back into the room, she presented a contract that she had typed up. It would have been nice to have known why she left the room for 20 minutes because she did not inform us why she left the room. We did not sign the contract and are very glad we didn't. In addition, the death occurred at 10:30 PM in the home. We called Woodstock Funeral Home to pick up the body. They did not come to pick up the body until after 2 AM, and they charged an large amount to the funeral home we chose to use for their "storage" fee. This is not ethical.

The sudden death of my husband brought me to Woodstock Funeral Home. Without a doubt, they are the finest, most compassionate people I have ever dealt with. Gerald Lee is the Funeral Director and I don't think our family could have gotten thru this without his compassion. Even after the Memorial Service, he called me while he was on vacation to see how I was doing since this was a very traumatic time for our family. You will never find a better place or people to handle something so delicate with such professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anyone who finds themselves in need of service.

Very flexible, professional and fairly priced. We were from out of state and their assistance was valuable and efficient.

This is a lovely place. I went here for the visitation for a dear family friend, and it was everything you could possibly ask for in a funeral home. There is ample parking and very thoughtful staff that obviously have years of experience doing their job.
