Rope Mill is one my favorite places to go if I need to just be outside. There's miles of mountain biking/hiking trails, as well as a paved riverfront trail if that's your thing. The people are always friendly and I've never once felt unsafe here. The downside is like any good park, it does get a little crowded on the weekends so you'll have to park in the auxiliary lot by the car dealership.
I love the bike trails here. They have some lower level trials,but also have a few good intermediate and advanced. I can't wait for the new black diamond trails that is currently being made.
Fast and fun trails. If coming to run on the trails, be aware that it is a mountain bike park. This requires you to be aware of riders and follow the trail direction (depending on the day).
Rope Mill is an excellent park. If you want a nice, and easily accessible hike? Come to Rope Mill! If you want an easy place to set-off in a kayak, Rope Mill is perfect! It's clean, has easy parking, and plenty of interesting things to enjoy while hiking. There is even a bathroom! Would certainly recommend!
Great trails around the old... Well... rope mill. River is often pretty low (more like a creek), but that isn't the park's fault, just depends on rain. Nice picnic tables by the creek/river too
