We just experienced Marco's Pizza recently in other locations and loved it. So we came to Eagle Dr. location and this restaurant was much roomier and comfortable. The specials on pizza were great and tasted fantastic. We will be back! Would love to see some lunch specials!
The owner/franchisee is clearly in over his head by being a business owner. Marcos as a company is great, that being said, I presume they know very little of how this store is actually being ran. For starters, cooks are often seen licking their fingers and dropping food on the floor yet still serving it out. Both employees and customers have made it known. To clarify, my intention of writing my review is not out of resent towards anyone or revenge, only to make facts known to future employees and/or paying customers. (SIDE NOTE: do not bother tipping the employee who gives you quality customer service while cashing out your pick up order, they can’t have it and have to give it to owner to put in his pocket). This stores retention/turn over rate is so high I have no idea how it’s even still open. (Like going on vacation for a week and coming back to all unfamiliar faces, high). Coming from someone who has years running a restaurant, I know the things you can work with and the things that are unacceptable, especially if it comes to employees. Most of which are common sense, but some examples from this location. There is absolutely NO acceptable reason to miss work, not even once. Normally, anywhere but this location, 4 hours minimum notice with a valid reason and not often is standard and widely acceptable. Firing someone over one missed day, meanwhile someone else calls out almost once a week with no addressing from the owner. Employees drinking alcohol & using drugs on store property, owners made aware, but at least they didn’t call out & that’s all that matters. They holds checks from prior employees until they bring back dirty, used uniforms, over-time hours worked aren’t put on paychecks, they will try to deduct money for hours worked (OT or training) that they paid you months prior from your future check/checks, and will refuse an employee to see the hours they worked based on their clock in/clock out times. Blames everyone but himself for unsuccessful business, try to punish employees for doing nothing but their jobs (while giving him the tips they EARN). Treat employees correctly, respect and be respected. LOTS of time and money is wasted here, it’s no secret why other locations have higher sales.
No good specials! We've ordered the 2 large 2 topping for $20 for a long time. Well they don't have it anymore. I guess the guy on the phone expected me to know the whole menu. I ordered a large and a medium and spent $9 more. No more! I will go back to Peace Love and pizza!
